Bundala National Park is located in close proximity to Yala, and so is often also visited. Unlike Yala however, this national park is specific to bird species, and thus a bird-lover’s haven. Established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1969, Bundala is now home to around 197 species of birds, all of whom can be seen in riot displays that are truly captivating. You’ll also come across migratory birds at different times of the year, as Bundala is open all year round as well.
